California (the Golden State) is located on the west coast of the United States and is the third largest by land area with lots of great villas to choose from. Its four largest cities are Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose and San Francisco.
It is known for its varied climate and geography as well as its diverse population. Its geography ranges from the Pacific coast to the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the east, to Mojave Desert areas in the southeast and the Redwood-Douglas fir forests of the northwest. California is not only diverse with its landscapes but also with its many attractions.
The bustling city of Los Angeles, renowned for its celebrity spotting, large malls, exclusive boutiques and world class theme parks. San Francisco in the north has infamous Alcatraz, China Town and the amazing construction that is the Golden Gate Bridge. Further south you have the surf and beautiful beaches of the Pacific Coast and why not experience the breath taking drive along the Pacific Coast Highway or Route 1 that stretches from California`s northern border with Oregon to its southern boundary with Mexico. Many visitors use one of the three main cities as a starting point to venture further into this wonderful state or even travel a little further onto the bright lights of Las Vegas.
